Not only are we all licensed sales agents, some of us are brokers and others have worked as a licensed appraiser, real estate instructor and loan officer. We brought this team together specifically for their wide range of expertise. You Decide Realty® was founded in 2005. It was created by a sister and brother team, Helen Hodgdon and Derek Leffler, who have many years of real estate experience between them. Conversationally, they would discuss how the industry could be better, how costs could be lower, and how the customer could be better serviced. Through these conversations, You Decide Realty® was born to fit the demands of a changing industry.

Helen Hodgdon has been a licensed Realtor® since 1984. She has worked for several large companies over the years including; Carlson GMAC®, Coldwell Banker®, and Weichert®. During this time she learned that the company did not fuel the agent, the agent fueled the company. "Good agents don't need big names to do well", said Helen. Her extremely satisfied customers are a testimony to that theory. Helen is a member of the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS®, The New Hampshire Association of REALTORS®, and the National Association of REALTORS®.

Derek Leffler is a licensed realtor and a certified residential appraiser in MA and NH. He has been in the real estate industry for over seven years and has also worked in real estate finance. Derek believes in giving back to his customers and creating relationships for life. Derek is a member of the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS®, The New Hampshire Association of REALTORS®, and The National Association of REALTORS®.
